Monthly Sewer Rates

The Sacramento Area Sewer District provides wastewater collection service to more than one million customers throughout the Sacramento region. Those customers pay a monthly sewer rate, as outlined below. The monthly sewer rate is what it costs an existing customer to receive sewer collection service from SASD.

All SASD customers are also Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) customers. Explore more information on SRCSD's sewer rates and rate assistance programs.

Sewer Impact Fees

The Sacramento Area Sewer District charges sewer impact fees, outlined below, to any residential customer connecting to the sewer system for the first time, or any commercial customer that requests a new sewer connection, increase in square footage or change in use (i.e. retail to restaurant). A Only for existing subdivided properties (subdivided prior to July 1, 2003) applying for a single sewer service. The Sewer Impact Fee is due and payable at time of sewer permit issuance.
B For all parcel/subdivisions maps recorded on or after July 1, 2003. The Sewer Impact Fee for parcel maps is due and payable at time of sewer permit issuance and the Sewer Impact Fee for subdivision maps is due and payable at Final Map.
