Christoph Dobson

Collection System Manager

Christoph Dobson began his career with Sacramento County in 1992 working as an Engineering Technician for the Water Resources Division. In 1994, he was promoted to Assistant Civil Engineer and spent time in the Water Quality, Transportation, and Technical Services Divisions. In 1997, he returned to Water Quality as an Associate Civil Engineer for the Rehabilitation Engineering Section. Currently, Christoph is Chief of the Sacramento Area Sewer District Division, and holds the title of Collection System Manager.

During his tenure with the County, Christoph has been involved in many diverse projects such as County-wide GIS base mapping; interceptor sewer design; construction inspection of Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion projects; developer interface; and many others.

Christoph received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 1990. He lives in Elk Grove with his wife and their three daughters, and enjoys spending time with his family, taking digital photographs, and playing both basketball and volleyball.
