Wendell Kido

As the District Manager and the Sacramento County Water Quality Chief of Policy and Planning, Wendell Kido is responsible for overseeing all activities for the Sacramento Area Sewer District (SASD) and Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD). Wendell has worked for Sacramento County since 1976, when he began in the Water Quality Division of the Sacramento County Department of Public Works in Project Engineering.
Wendell oversaw the development of the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant from the design phase - which began in the mid-1970s - through completion of construction and the onset of service in 1982. Wendell continued to manage the Plant during 15 years of operation until his promotion to Division Chief and District Manager in 1997.
Wendell holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii and a Master's of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Loyola University of Los Angeles. Wendell and his wife Ann have two daughters, Katie and Maggie. Wendell enjoys traveling throughout the United States, and especially enjoys trips home to Hawaii.
