Harvest Water Traffic Advisory – August 15

Lane Closures Planned on Franklin Boulevard in Elk Grove For Harvest Water Pipeline Construction

Starting the evening of Tuesday, August 20, the northbound lanes of Franklin Boulevard between Sims Road and Laguna Boulevard will be closed. All traffic will be diverted to the southbound lanes. (See graphic, below.)

The intersections of Franklin Boulevard and Big Horn Boulevard, Laguna Park Drive, and Laguna Boulevard will remain open. The entrance to Tegan Road on the east side of Franklin Boulevard will be closed, and access to the Safeway shopping center at Laguna and Franklin will be available from Laguna Boulevard and Laguna Crest Way.

Please plan for additional time and use alternate routes when possible.

Harvest Water pipeline construction is also taking place along multiple roadways south of Elk Grove. Please visit www.SacHarvestWater.org for full Harvest Water Program details and additional road closures in place.

When complete, Harvest Water will deliver up to 50,000 acre-feet – roughly 16 billion gallons – of drought-resistant recycled water each year to agricultural lands and existing habitats in southern Sacramento County, bringing lasting benefits to the region. Harvest Water will also provide recycled water for median and park landscape irrigation in developments within the City of Elk Grove, including East Franklin and Laguna Ridge areas.
