Harvest Water Traffic Alert – December 23, 2024

The following closures are currently in place or planned as part of Harvest Water pipeline construction – see attached road closure map for details on current closures in place and which roadways remain accessible. Please drive safely through work zones and heed construction signs.

Road and Lane Closure Status

  • NEW Lane Closures Planned Within City of Elk Grove:
  • Lane closures remain in place on Franklin between Sims Road and Laguna Boulevard as crews complete pipeline installation in this area. All lanes of traffic are anticipated to re-open in this segment in March 2025.
  • Starting in mid-January 2025, additional lane closures will be in place within the City of Elk Grove on Franklin Boulevard between Laguna and Elk Grove Boulevards. These lane closures are anticipated to be in place through summer 2025, and more information will be provided in advance.

South of Elk Grove City limits:

  • Bruceville Road between Twin Cities and Camp Road remains closed through late December 2024. Bruceville Road between Camp and Lambert Roads is also closed to through traffic during this time, with local traffic still able to access this section of Bruceville to enter local properties.
  • Bruceville Road between Camp Road and Lambert Road is anticipated to be closed to all but local traffic starting the end of December. Access to the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Facility will be maintained, and details will be provided about how to best enter the facility based on current construction activity.
  • Point Pleasant Road between Bruceville Road and Ed Rau Road remains closed to all but local trafficuntil early 2025 .

Eschinger Road between Carroll Road and West Stockton Boulevard remains closed until early January 2025.

  • Core Road remains closed until early 2025. Local residents are asked to enter their properties from the east (Ed Rau Road).
  • Franklin Boulevard closures that remain in place are:
    • between Hood Franklin and Core Roads (open to local community, but remains closed to through traffic)
    • between Core and Point Pleasant Roads (closed until March 2025)
    • between Point Pleasant and Lambert Roads (closed until late January 2025)

Weather impacts and other factors may impact timing of closures. Local residents and emergency vehicles can access properties within work zones at all times throughout construction. Please visit SacHarvestWater.org for the latest construction timing and updates.
