Join Regional San Staff for a Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant
Sacramento, Calif. — Regional San is excited to announce that we will once again be hosting FREE public tours at the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant after a two-year break due to COVID-19. Tours are offered on specific Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between June and October 2022.
“These tours provide customers a behind-the-scenes look at our massive operations and the important role wastewater treatment plays in protecting our waterways,” said Christoph Dobson, Regional San’s General Manager. “Our customers not only learn about our sophisticated treatment process but also how we’re working every day to protect public health and the environment.”
The tours are three-hours long and provide a unique look at where the region’s wastewater goes after residents use water in their homes. Participants will hear directly from our experts, tour the environmental laboratory, and take a bus tour through our process area, which is not ordinarily open to the public.
Advance registration is required, and space is limited. Tour attendees must be 16 years of age or older. Guests should expect moderate walking during tours. Learn more and sign up for a tour date at regionalsan.com/tours.
