The following closures are currently in place or planned as part of Harvest Water pipeline construction – see road closure map for details on current closures in place and which roadways remain accessible. Please drive safely through work zones and heed construction signs. Thank you for your ongoing patience and cooperation with Harvest Water construction.
Road and Lane Closure Status
- Lane Closures Within City of Elk Grove:
- Lane closures remain in place on Franklin between Sims Road and Laguna Boulevard as crews complete pipeline installation in this area. All lanes of traffic are anticipated to re-open in this segment in April 2025.
- NEW Lane Closures: Starting in mid-to-late January 2025, additional lane closures will be in place on the east side of Franklin Boulevard between Laguna and Elk Grove Boulevards. Two of the three northbound lanes will be closed for pipeline staging, and one lane of northbound traffic will remain open. Southbound lanes will not be impacted at this time.
South of Elk Grove City limits:
- Bruceville Road between Camp Road and Lambert Road will be closed to all but local traffic starting Monday, January 13. Access to the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC) and Franklin Field will be from Twin Cities to the south, heading north on Bruceville. There is no restriction to Franklin Field entrance. Access to RCCC will be via the south entrance
- Bruceville Road between Twin Cities and Camp Road is now open to local residents but remains closed to through traffic.
- Point Pleasant Road between Bruceville Road and Ed Rau Road remains closed to all but local traffic until late January.
- Eschinger Road between Carroll Road and West Stockton Boulevard remains closed until late January 2025.
- Core Road remains closed until May 2025. Local residents are asked to enter their properties from the east (Ed Rau Road).
- Franklin Boulevard closures that remain in place are:
- between Hood Franklin and Core Roads (open to local community, but remains closed to through traffic until March 2025)
- between Core and Point Pleasant Roads (open to local community, but remains closed to through traffic until March 2025)
- between Point Pleasant and Lambert Roads (closed except for residents until late February 2025)
Weather impacts and other factors may impact timing of closures. Local residents and emergency vehicles can access properties within work zones at all times throughout construction. Please visit the Harvest Water webpage for the latest construction timing and updates.
