The following closures are currently in place or planned as part of Harvest Water pipeline construction. See the road closure map for details on current closures and which roadways remain accessible. Please drive safely through work zones and heed construction signs and posted speed limits. Thank you for your ongoing patience and cooperation with Harvest Water construction.
NEW Road and Lane Closures and Openings:
- Bruceville Road between Eschinger Road and Point Pleasant Road will be closed starting February 25, 2025 until early April 2025.
- Point Pleasant Road between Bruceville and Ed Rau Roads will re-open by end of day February 24, providing an alternate detour route for the pending Bruceville Road closure.
- Within the City of Elk Grove, the Northbound lanes of Franklin Boulevard between Laguna and Elk Grove Boulevards will be closed starting March 4, 2025. All traffic will be diverted to the southbound lanes on the west side of Franklin Boulevard, similar to what is currently in place north of Laguna Boulevard. The lane closures north of Laguna Boulevard are expected to re-open in early April 2025.
- Note: Temporary traffic signals will be in place to allow access to Garden Homes Place and Valley Hi Country Club Drive. The Franklin Boulevard access at Roselin Way will be closed, and local residents are asked to use alternative routes.
Status of Road Closures South of Elk Grove:
- Bruceville Road south of Lambert Road to the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC) entrance remains closed through mid-March 2025. Access to the RCCC and Franklin Field is from Twin Cities Road to the south. Both RCCC entrances and the Franklin Field entrance are open.
- Eschinger Road between Bruceville and Carroll Roads remains closed through early April 2025.
- Core Road and Ed Rau Road north of Eschinger remain closed until May 2025. Local residents are asked to enter their properties from the east (Ed Rau Road).
- Franklin Boulevard between Lambert and Point Pleasant Roads is anticipated to re-open by mid-March, and Franklin Boulevard between Point Pleasant and Core Roads is anticipated to re-open by mid-April.
- Note: Some roadways are open to local traffic only and are not accessible by through traffic. This currently includes Franklin Boulevard between Hood Franklin and Core Roads, and Bruceville Road between Twin Cities and Camp Roads.
Weather impacts and other factors may impact timing of closures. Local residents and emergency vehicles can access properties within work zones at all times throughout construction. Please visit the Harvest Water webpage for the latest construction timing and updates.
