Laboratory Services
Our state-of-the-art facility meets critical analytical needs
The SacSewer Environmental Laboratory has been in operation at the EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility since 1982. It is a California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program certified full-service environmental laboratory providing an extensive range of analytical testing, sampling, and field monitoring services. Our team of 35+ scientists and technical staff provide quality services to meet routine and challenging analytical needs for regulatory programs, special studies, and monitoring programs.
Internal Lab Services
- Certified and equipped to test drinking water, sewage, biosolids, ground water, surface water, gaseous compounds, and hazardous waste.
- Provides traces metals, organics, conventional chemistry, bacteriological, microbiological and toxicological analysis.
- Conducts field monitoring and sample collection of ground waters and monitors the water quality of the Sacramento River and the Delta around the Sacramento region.
- Collects and tests water from the local rivers using our 27-foot, all-weather aluminum boat called the Guardian as required to meet the regulatory, research and policy needs.
- Collaborates with various District Stakeholders and provides feedback on testing and sampling needs of various regulatory permits and programs
- Laboratory staff are knowledgeable and experienced to assist in planning and developing environmental studies or monitoring plans. They help develop Sampling plan, testing Schedule, Special test methods and program specific Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) to meet the customer or program needs
