Frequently Asked Questions
Contact the SacSewer Development Services team to discuss sewer availability and the nearest connection point to your property. If there is an existing service lateral to your property, it may reduce your sewer connection cost.
SacSewer may require sewer impact fee payments in accordance with our Ordinances. Fees need to be paid prior to building permits being issued, and are based on the location and size of your property.
To learn more about your property’s impact fee, contact SacSewer Permit Services.
Contact Sacramento County’s Environmental Management to obtain information on how to abandon your existing septic system. They might be able to recommend a reputable contractor and give you an estimate for the cost of abandoning your existing septic system. The contractor would then abandon the existing system per County standards.
